Your first comparison

1. Open Catalog Signal from Shopify Apps.
2. Upload an eBay or supplier UTF-8 CSV with one row per product variant. Use only product information you own or are authorized to use.
3. Review column mappings. Link records by an exact Shopify SKU, or a full Shopify variant ID such as gid://shopify/ProductVariant/123. Different source SKUs are supported through the Shopify SKU mapping column.
4. Choose a trusted reference only if you know its data is reliable. Otherwise leave None selected.
5. Run a scan. Review the evidence, suggested changes, and missing information. Export the findings if useful.

What is compared?

GTIN/barcode, manufacturer part number, brand, size, and color. Shopify MPN and brand come from the custom.mpn and custom.brand variant metafields. Vendor is not assumed to be brand. Exact mappings are required; titles never decide identity.

Limits and alerts

This release supports up to 5,000 Shopify variants and 5,000 rows per external source, with CSV files under 2 MB. Stores above this limit cannot scan. Alerts appear in the app after a manual scan. eBay and supplier files are snapshots; there is no live sync, scheduled monitoring, or email alerting. Optional missing attributes are information gaps, not necessarily errors. Nothing is automatically edited.

Pricing and cancellation

$19 USD every 30 days with a 7-day trial, approved through Shopify. Manage billing in Shopify. Uninstall to cancel future app charges; Shopify determines any applicable final invoice. Development stores are not charged.

Samples and deletion

eBay sample CSV · Supplier sample CSV. Samples are synthetic; replace them with your product records. Use Delete saved scan to remove the latest stored report.
